On 17 September 2010, the 6th China International Recycled Polyester Forum, supported by China Chemical Fiber Association (CCFA) and organized by Recycled Fiber Committee of CCFA, China Chemical & Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI), Dr. Thiele Polyester Technology and PCI PET Packaging, Resin & Recycling Ltd, came to a successful close in Jinling Jinma Hotel Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China.The conference was attended by around 250 participants including recyclers, traders, feedstock suppliers, downstream users, machinery suppliers and related media.

 

Firstly, Lin Shidong, the secretary general of CCFA Recycled Fiber Commission, presented us the speech--Development Plan for Recycled Fiber Industry during The 12th ‘Five-year Plan’ Period and in 2020. With detailed data, he gave comment on the development history, status quo, challenges and future development plan for recycled fiber industry.

 

Dr. Zheng Yang from SEPA's National Solid Waste Management Centre gave the speech on Overview of the Imported Plastic Scrap Management, focusing on import rules and the widely concerned wasted bottle import. Françoise POULAT, an expert of packaging materials from Danone Research gave introduction to how to decrease carbon footprint of bottles through mechanical recycling, and expressed Danone’s concern on environment. Wang Yulin, President of Hangzhou Fuxing Group, talked about their practices on bottle to carpet. Dr. Heidi Lv from Shanghai Orient Intertek Testing Services introduced their Intertek Recycled PET Certification, which helps China’s recycled products to go global. Andrew Noone, Managing Director of PCI PET Packaging, Resin & Recycling Ltd, and Casper van den Dungen, Vice President of European Plastics Recyclers (EuPR), gave detailed introduction on status quo of PET recycling, within a global range and in China. Speaker from Gneuss Kunststofftechnik, OHL Engineering, Erema, Starlinger & Co Ges.m.b.H, Coperion, Shanghai Machine Sorting Technology (MST)...also gave speeches to introduce new technologies and products.
