The 4th China International Sulphur & Sulphuric Conference was successively held on 18-20 June 2014, in the Longemont Hotel, Shanghai, China. Sulphur suppliers from Europe, Americas, the Middle East, Japan and South Korea, as well as sulphur buyers from China mainland gathered here, analyzing the status quo for the development of international sulphur and sulphuric acid industry and seeking cooperative opportunities.

Over 200 representatives and guest speakers all gave honest advices, and put forward plans to the development of China's sulphur industry in the future and suggestions to solve the situation of excessive sulphuric acid supplies. Dr. Li Shigang, the Associated Researcher of NDRC Academy of Macroeconomic Research, delivered his own research viewpoints specific to the recent changes and future movement of RMB exchange rate. He believes the economic situation in China determines that RMB will still welcome a slow appreciation in a long term, while in a short term, RMB will inevitably see some fluctuations. Wu Xuemei, the Vice President of China Sulphuric Acid Industry Association, introduced the urgent position for China's sulphuric acid industry, and indicated that China's sulphuric acid industry is facing both risks and new development opportunities. The Fertilizer Association Of India introduced the requirement for fertilizer in India in 2014, providing lessons and references to China's enterprises who export fertilizer.

The degree of opening and the form of free communication during the course of the whole conference left a deep impression on conference participants.
